Born and raised in Adel, Iowa, Kate Schaefer grew up on her family’s 200-head Boer goat operation, Schaefer Farms, where her passion for agriculture began. A former Iowa FFA State Vice President and current President of the Junior Iowa Meat Goat Association, Kate also serves nationally as Reporter for the Junior American Boer Goat Association. She was crowned 2024 National Miss United States Agriculture and continues to advocate for the industry while pursuing a degree in Agricultural Communications at Oklahoma State University. Alongside her studies, she operates Simply Passionativ, a creative business specializing in livestock photography, design, and branding for agricultural operations nationwide.

Kate Schaefer is an agriculture-focused communicator, entrepreneur, and creative professional passionate about telling the stories behind rural America. Raised in Adel, Iowa, she grew up on her family’s 200-head Boer goat operation, Schaefer Farms, where her passion for agriculture began. Today, she is pursuing a degree in Agricultural Communications with a minor in Agricultural Business at Oklahoma State University, combining her love for livestock, design, and digital media to serve agricultural operations across the country.

Kate is the owner of Simply Passionativ, a creative business specializing in livestock photography, branding, graphic design, and digital marketing. Through SP, she has partnered with producers, small businesses, and junior associations to develop professional, market-driven content that reflects authenticity and pride in the agricultural lifestyle. Her work ranges from sale photo and show coverage to complete brand kits and website design for operations seeking to elevate their presence online and in print.

Beyond entrepreneurship, Kate has held extensive leadership roles within the agricultural industry. She is a former Iowa FFA State Vice President, a four-term President of the Junior Iowa Meat Goat Association (JIMGA), and currently serves nationally as Reporter for the Junior American Boer Goat Association (JABGA). In 2024, she was crowned National Miss United States Agriculture, where she continues to advocate for youth involvement and agricultural literacy across the nation.

Her professional experience also includes project management, event marketing, and media production, allowing her to combine creativity with communication strategy. Through photography, design, and leadership, Kate strives to make agriculture seen, understood, and celebrated—capturing the people, animals, and values that define the industry she calls home.
